Sometimes the scenes that you see in the movies come alive in front of your eyes. I still remember the chilling scene from the movie ‘Anaconda’, where the man was dragged and swallowed alive by the huge anaconda. The same event has recently occurred in the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, where a man was swallowed by python. It was a 23-foot-long python who gulped the whole man. Let’s find out more about the unfortunate incident and who was the victim.
Who was the man Swallowed by Python?
The poor man was a harvester of palm oil and he was working in the fields, when he was attacked by the python. According to the locals, his name was Akbar Salubrio. He was married and reportedly, was missing from March 25th. At the time of this unfortunate incident, his wife was out of station. After finding his door locked, continuously for a couple of days, Akbar’s uncle reported him to be missing.
While the local residents started to search the missing man swallowed by python, they saw this heavy-looking and immovable python hiding in the bushes. Here is what a local had to say in an interview to BBC Indonesia;
“They didn’t find him (Akbar), but the villagers saw an unmoving python in the ditch,” Mashura, who goes by his first name, “They grew suspicious that maybe the snake had Akbar. When they cut it open, Akbar was inside the snake.” [Read here: Idaho Sasquatch Sighting]
Some other belongings of Akbar Salubrio, recovered from the site include, his harvesting tool, palm fruits and a boot. The villagers somehow managed to drag the python out. They killed and cut it open. To everyone’s surprise, the saw the legs of a man and then the whole body swallowed by the python was recovered. According to the locals, other harvesters are still afraid to go to the fields for working. Check out the most unfortunate event’s video given below.
