Indonesian Cat Waiting for Her Dead Owner

Talking of loyalty and faithfulness, who could be the better example than our pet animals. A recent story that is going viral on the web is from Indonesian city of Central Java. It’s a heart-melting story of a cat waiting for her dead owner, sitting on her grave all day long.

It’s been about a year since the old lady (cat’s owner) Ibu Kundari has died. Ever since her death, the cat spends her days and nights sitting and roaming around the grave of the lady. Many locals have reported the cries of the cat while she is sitting around the grave (crying or calling her owner).

The people of the area have been witnessing this saddening situation since long. Many of them have seen the cat waiting for her dead owner and tried to feed it and adopt it. But all in vain! Each time the cat leaves the burial spot, she gets back by the evening.

Another local passer-by from Central Java, Indonesia, Keli Keningau Prayitno, tried hard to adopt the cat by feeding and loving her but she never forgets to wait for her mother-like owner. Here is what Keli has to say further, “Since the cat’s mother died she has stayed here at the grave. She does not want to go home. She has been here for almost a year.

He further expressed his views in these words,

“I saw the cat waiting for her dead owner every day and noticed that she was always there, but sometimes would leave for a couple of hours then come back. I followed her and she was going to the home where she used to live and the lady’s children would feed her.”

It’s a really heart wrenching story that has left me with tears in my eyes. Such loyalty in an age like this is very rare and most probably, is limited to the animals (not humans).

Though Keli and the kids of the deceased lady are taking care of the poor cat waiting for her dead owner. But that does not lessen her pain. Hope the cat comes out of her grief. This is not the first neither the last story of faithfulness of any animal. There have been many other such stories of undying love that had left us tear-eyed.
