Angelika Graswald Pleaded Guilty of Manslaughter in Hudson River

Angelika Graswald is the woman who has been arrested for intentionally planning her fiancé’s death by drowning in Hudson river. She has been in police custody since April 2015. And finally, on Monday, she is pleaded guilty to lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide.

Viafore, her fiancé, drowned on April 19, 2015 and she was arrested on April 30, 2015, after the investigators detected something fishy in her behavior. Viafore’s body was recovered in May 2015 from Hudson River.

Her fiancé Viafore died after his kayak stopped working and he drowned in the spine chilling water of Hudson river. Angelika was watching it all, standing on the shore and did nothing. She is also accused of removing some plug from Vincent Viafore’s kayak that led him to his death. The same plug was recovered from the vehicle she was driving.

Initially, Angelika tried her best to play innocent. The only words she used to say were, she “loved him” and “didn’t do anything to kill him.” But later on, she admitted her crime and exploded; I wanted him dead and now he’s gone and I’m fine with it.”

On being asked the question about tempering with the kayak she said; “I guess I did.” According to the investigators, Angelika Graswald did all of this to get his fiancé’s life insurance of $250,000. Contrary to that, she blamed her drowned fiancé’s wild sexual demands to be the reason of her doing so. She is going to end up in jail in November 2017.
